Edgar Parker, age 81, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, passed away January 9, 2012, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. He was born September 14, 1930, in Budapest, Hungary, to Judith and Albert Parcsetich.
Edgar moved to El Dorado Springs in 1981, where he lived for many years of his life. He was a photographer and began his professional career in 1982 with his opening of Starlight Studios Photography. Edgar loved life, cooking, the title industry, and Big Band music, especially Lawrence Welk.
Survivors include his two children: son John Parker and daughter Christina Parker Roberts; five grandchildren: Health Baker, Brittney Parker, Sebastien Parker, Brendon Parker and Eric Evans; one great-grandson Leon Armstrong; and his dog Sassy.
Edgar was a man of vision and wanted nothing more in life than the well being of his family and friends. Edgar will be missed!
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home located at 3130 East Highway 54, El Dorado Springs, Missouri, with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. just prior to the service. There will be a private burial later at El Dorado Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
