Obituary
Albert Crable Jr, age 72, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away Monday, January 30th, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family. Al was born August 25th, 1939, in Burlingame, Kansas, to Albert Crable Sr., and Myrtle May (Watson) Crable. He attended Scranton Kansas High School and served in the United States Marine Corps.

Al married Nitavella (High) Crable in Topeka, Kansas, on October 4th, 1958 and raised two sons, Keith and Bill. He later raised his granddaughters, Amber, Courtney and Ashley. Al and Nita would best be described as a real-life fairy tale love story. At age 16 Al met Nita at a drive-in movie when she was 13. A true gentleman, Al asked her parents permission to date her. Except for a short time while Al was serving in the Marines, they have been inseparable ever since, building a love, life, family and legacy together.

Al was a truck driver for the Teamsters Local 41 for 40 years, 1958-1998. He was a member of the Masons for twenty-five years, Past Master of the Wyandotte Masonic Lodge #3, Past Master of the Clintonville Masonic Lodge #482, a member of the Trail 70ís unit of the Abdallah Shrine, and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, El Dorado Springs chapter.

Al enjoyed many things, playing cards with his friends on Thursday and Friday nights, trap-shoots, auctions, fishing and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time and joking with his grandchildren, family and friends.

Al was a great, strong man full of love and laughter. He was a proud Marine; made of steel. Selfless, he would do anything for someone in need. An amazing father, grandfather and husband to his wife of 53 years and above all a hero to his family. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Crable Sr. and Myrtle May (Watson) Crable, his brother Francis (Shorty) Crable and his sister, Sylvia (Siss) (Crable) Bolinger.

He is survived by his wife, Nitavella (High) Crable of El Dorado Springs, MO. His son Keith Crable, El Dorado Springs, MO, son Bill (Stephanie) Crable of Shawnee, KS, his granddaughters Amber (Ray) Burch, Courtney (Chris) Spencer and Ashley Crable, all of El Dorado Springs, MO, Kelsie, Mark and Travis Crable, Shawnee, KS and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2012, from 6-7p.m., at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, Highway 54 East, El Dorado Springs, MO 64744. Funeral services will be Friday, February 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., also at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Rev. Brent Bland will officiate. Burial will follow in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Keith Crable, Bill Crable, Mark Crable, Travis Crable, Chris Spencer, and Ray Burch.
