Earnest Eldon Williams

Earnest Eldon Williams, age 80, of Ballwin, MO, passed away on June 14, 2000. Eldon was born on February 28, 1920, in Harwood, MO, to Ernest and Sarah Ann (Scott) Williams. The family moved to El Dorado Springs, MO, when he was a child. He graduated from El Dorado Springs High School, where he was a star football player. After graduation, he and Eloise Smith were married and moved to Springfield, MO, where he began a lifetime of employment in senior management with various trucking firms.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Raymond and Lloyd.

Eldon and Eloise leave behind three sons, Gary Williams of Galena, IL; Kirk Williams of St. Petersburg, FL; Brent Williams of Ballwin, MO, one daughter, Karen Schacht of Ballwin, MO; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery along with his wife Eloise at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Eloise Lenore Williams

Eloise Lenore Williams, age 92, of Ballwin, MO, passed away on November 25, 2011. Eloise was born on April 22, 1919, in El Dorado Springs, MO, to Nalley E. Smith and Cleo Lenore (Zimmerman) Smith, who preceded her in death. She grew up in El Dorado Springs and graduated from the El Dorado Springs High School.

Following high school, she attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO, after which she and Eldon Williams were married and raised their daughter and three sons.

She is survived by their four children, Karen, Gary, Kirk, and Brent, and a sister, Nalleyn Ann Jones of Prairie Village, KS.

She was very involved in Meals on Wheels, an active member of Monday Club, and P.E.O. Chapter CK. She and Eldon were members of St. Johnís Presbyterian Church in Ballwin, MO.

Eldon and Eloise were cremated and are being brought back to their home, El Dorado Springs, for burial in the Smith family plots. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, in the El Dorado Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
