Betty Ann Martin Schuchman, age 76, the daughter of Willis Martin and Bessie Eastman Martin, was born July 26, 1934, in Winfield, KS, and passed away on January 11, 2011, at her home in El Dorado Springs, MO.
Betty married Carl Calvin Schuchman on April 6, 1965. She was a devoted wife and mother to their three children: Randall of El Dorado Springs, MO; Robert of Branson, MO; and Michelle of El Dorado Springs, MO. Betty had six grandchildren: Christina and husband, Joe, of Royse City, TX; Dana and husband, Rich, of Branson, MO; J.R. of Branson, MO; Rob and wife, Krystal, of Branson, MO; Missy and husband, Randy, of El Dorado Springs, MO; and Jessica and husband, Joey, of Morilton, AR.
Betty loved her sixteen great-grandchildren: Aaron, Victoria, Brandon, Justin, Rylee, Jazmin, Jewel, Jade, Chance, Katie, Traven, Jordan, Zayne, Darek, Jayden, and Macy.
Betty also leaves behind four daughters-in-law: Becky, Darla, Diane, and Lisa; two sisters: Dorothy Martin of Nebraska, and Mary Luce of Montana; and many friends and extended family.
Betty ran a store, gas station, and restaurant in Cedar Springs for many years. She loved to flea market and go to auctions and was continuously on the look-out for antiques. She had a very big heart and would never let anyone do without. She has left many memories to cherish in the hearts of all her loved ones and will be greatly missed.
A visitation was held for Betty Schuchman on Friday, January 14, 2011, from 6-7 PM at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 2 PM at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, with Brent Bland and Leonard Ketterman officiating. Pallbearers were: Randy Anderson, Aaron Bailey, Joe Bailey, JR Cameron, Rich Crowell, and Rob Schuchman. Interment followed in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
