Obituary
Marvin Hill, age 80, of Springfield, MO, formerly of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away on August 25, 2015, in San Antonio, TX. Marvin was born December 29, 1934, to George H. and Lovell (Minor) Hill, in Houston, MO.

Marvin served in the U.S. Army from February, 1954, till February, 1957. On September 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Schiereck in Rockville, MO. To this union two children were born: Marsha and Mark.

For many years Marvin owned and operated Marvinís Skelly Service in El Dorado Springs. During this time he was active in the Lions Club, Rotary Club, El Dorado High School Boosters, and Chamber of Commerce. He served as Chamber President in 1976.

Hobbies included being an avid golfer and stock car racing with Leon Steward from 1965 till 1973.

Preceding him in death were his parents and son, Mark.

Survivors include: wife, Marjorie of the home; daughter, Marsha Fewell and husband Frank of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Lois Simrell of El Dorado Springs, MO; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Marvin Hill will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Burial and military honors will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are: Travis Schiereck, Jarrod Schiereck, Brett Schiereck, Bill Simrell, Jim Simrell, Jacob Lewellen, Jeff Lewellen and Derek Lewellen. Honorary pallbearers are: Ben Shaner, Bernard Bobbett, Mike Bush, Leon Steward, Jack Simone, Ron Sewell, Stanley Medlock and Vernon Rookstool.
