Connie Sue Williams, age 71, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, left this life on October 1, 2016. She was born in Springfield, Missouri, on January 17, 1945, to Alden and Betty Sallee.
On September 7, 1961, she married the love of her life, James Ollie Williams. The union was blessed with three children: Chris, Alden, and Jamie.
Connie found the most joy in spending time with Jim and her grandchildren. She loved swimming, music, listening to Jim play the guitar, harmonica, and dancing. She was an adventurous daredevil who was ornery and full of life.
Connie was a fighter and had been through a lot in her life. She had polio as a child and was told she would never walk again, but she defeated the odds. She had will power and God on her side.
Connie was proud of her career as an RN in the operating room. She worked as a nurse for over thirty years. She was a devoted Christian and loved to serve the Lord. She was saved in the late 60s and read the Bible often.
Greeting Connie in Heaven were her father, Alden Sallee; sisters, Janice Skakal and Nancy Melton; and brothers-in-law, Roy Lasley and Randy Melton.
Survivors include her husband, James Williams, of the home; her mother, Betty Sallee; daughter, Chris Burrus and husband, John; son, Alden Williams; daughter, Jamie Jacobs; one brother, Tony Sallee; one sister, Velva Lasley; seven grandchildren: Shy’rell, Colby, Kyra, Nick, Josh, Chace, and Jessica; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
