Obituary
Claud L. Adams, Jr, 43, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away suddenly at his farm on Saturday morning, September 30, 2017.

Claud was born Sept. 3, 1974, to Claud and Florene (Keith) Adams at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, MO.

Claud, called “Bubba” by his family and friends, was proud of his family and farm.

Bubba started dating Amanda Anderson in 1990, and they were wed in the backyard of Dr. & Mrs. Reynolds on June 14th, 1997. Bub adored his wife! They made countless memories sharing life alongside each other. Amanda was his one-and-only. Bubba was a hero to his sons: teaching them to hunt and fish at young ages; teaching them the ways of their young cattle ranch; and modeling the importance of integrity and hard work required in becoming men. Bubba knew full-well that his sons are his legacy. They hunted, fished, camped, dreamed, ranched, laughed, cried, and loved as a family.

Bubba was employed in the maintenance department of the El Dorado Springs School District. Caring for the grounds was one of his joys, with the ball fields a priority. His pride and joy was preparing the football field for all the home games. Students and spectators alike took pride in the presentation of the EHS football field. Bub was recognized statewide for his football fields on game night. You will never find a harder working man than Claud Adams. He worked full time, tended to his cattle and home, and still made sure he had quality time with his family. Prior to working at the schools for nearly 20 years, Bub worked for Barrington Manufacturing.

Bubba was an avid football fan and was seldom seen without a Bulldogs or KC Chiefs hat. He meant a lot to his community and shared his sense of humor with everyone. Many reading the notice of his passing will instantly recall his practical jokes that we fell prey to. We chuckle at the many times he made us laugh. Victims of his side-splitting humor and creative mischief were all of his siblings, nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles, and he had no mercy on his co-workers, and friends about town.

Surviving Bubba at home are his loving wife Amanda, his two sons Dalton (14) and Jayson (12), and man’s best friend “Buddy”. Bubba leaves behind his loving mom Florene Adams and sisters Carol Adams and Carlene Adams of El Dorado Springs; sister Julie (Adams) Williams and her husband Mark of Excelsior Springs, MO; sister Carlla (Adams) Johnson and her husband Ron of Derby, KS; father & mother-in law Walt and Melissa Anderson of El Dorado Springs; brother-in-law Justin and Melissa Anderson of Centralia, MO; and several nieces and nephews that endured the loving teasing of their uncle Bub. There are too many cousins to count, branching out along the Keith and Adams family trees. Bub was often more like a close brother than a cousin. He was loved!

It is with heavy hearts his family has unexpectedly said goodbye to Bubba with full confidence of seeing him again someday. Greeting him in Heaven are two older brothers he had never met, Eddie and Dwight, and his father Claud L. Adams Sr.

Funeral services for Claud Adams were held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the El Dorado Springs football field. Burial followed in Hackleman Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Donald Adams, Kevin Adams, Allen Keith, Nate Williams, Chuck Johnson, and Brennan Dozler. Honorary pallbearers were: Ron Johnson, Michael Dozler, Justin Anderson, and Mark Williams.
