In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to help the family with expenses or to the Senior Center and left at the funeral home.
George Richard “Dick” Salsbury, age 89, of Harwood, MO, passed away January 10, 2018. He was born March 8, 1931, to Henry Latham Salsbury and Nona Mae (Boyles) Salsbury in Brownington, MO.
Dick was married to Mildred Salsbury for 35 years. His children are Nona Salsbury and Richard Salsbury. Dick loved coon hunting, fishing, nature, tractors, westerns, and gardening. He also loved taking care of his animals and visiting with his friends. Dick was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to all those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his eight siblings: Lavaughn, Bill, Donald, Bobby, Harold Gene, Harry Paul, Dorothy, and Peggy.
Survivors include: his wife Mildred of the home; daughter, Nona Salsbury of the home; son, Richard Salsbury of Oklahoma; grandson, Matt and wife Davina of Alaska; granddaughter, Jodi and husband David of New Orleans; and six great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Dick Salsbury were held Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with Jared Kouba officiating. Burial followed in Brownington Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Gary Jones, Chase Jones, Roy Jones, Duane Johnson, David Tankersley, David Murdock, Dalton Johnson, and Gary Griblin. Honorary pallbearers were: Kerry Middleton, Mike Donaldson, and Ronnie Reed.
